Since 1995, our lab partner, Cord For Life has been the expert in cord blood collections, processing and storage. Cord For Life was the first to accept both private storage and publicly donated cord blood collections from anywhere in the continental United States.
Our team of scientists and banking professionals are leaders in the cord blood collection community. Our technical experts are licensed Technicians and Technologists. They are thoroughly trained on cord blood methodologies and undergo annual competency evaluations to maintain their excellence in the field.
The facility maintains six state-of-the-art cryo-preservation storage tanks that use liquid nitrogen vapors. The tanks are continuously monitored both visually and electronically to ensure the temperature is maintained at or below -150°C., at all times.
The facility has the capacity to process 24 cord blood units simultaneously with 450 sq. ft., designated as ISO-7 (Class 10,000) laboratory space and 120 sq. ft. ISO-6 (Class 1000) research space allowing expansion for alternative stem cell source process development programs in the future.
The facility is AABB accredited and FDA registered and fully compliant with all regulations for cord blood processing and storage.
